What is Welcome Denver?
“Welcome Denver (WD)” provides a total immersion opportunity for ethnically-diverse professionals at the mid-to-senior level, to help them connect with other ethnically-diverse professional peers, corporate and community leaders, professional associations, chambers of commerce, and multicultural arts institutions.

The program focuses on four key areas:
  1. Quick community access and connectivity
  2. Executive mentoring through topical discussions
  3. Social networking
  4. Cultural grounding
Program Overview
WD is a formal network comprised of new or recently relocated employees (0-3 years), supported by Denver metropolitan area companies. WD provides quarterly, half-day informative session with subject matter experts on timely and relevant topics affecting multicultural professionals in the workplace and in social environments. Each session typically is hosted by a member company at their facilities. WD also offers opportunities for spouses and partners to get rooted in the community for added connectivity while living and working in the Denver area.

Periodically, WD formal network sessions of 20-25 ethnically-diverse, professionals meet to learn about Denver issues and cultural immersion opportunities. Member corporations recommend and sponsor employees to participate in the program for a minimum of four sessions throughout the year. In 2008, half-day sessions were held in May and December, hosted by MillerCoors and Qwest respectively.
