Welcome Denver is a formal networking session for new or relocated multicultural employees, representing Denver Metro Area corporations and law firms. Welcome Denver is an innovative approach to aid in the retention of ethnically-diverse employees that are high-potential, high-caliber executives. A core group of Human Resources representatives from 12 companies worked on the formation of Welcome Denver, and enlisted area chambers of commerce, non-profit organizations and universities, to facilitate and administer quarterly networking sessions beginning with the launch on May 5, 2008. Participants include employees from MillerCoors, Qwest Communications, Wells Fargo, First Data Corp, ProLogis, CH2MHill, Compass Bank, Centura Health and others.

Welcome Denver provides grassroots connectivity not only to ensure the success of multicultural employees, but to help build our city as a great place to live, grow and succeed.

Goals of Welcome Denver are to provide:
  1. Quick community access and connectivity for employee participants
  2. Executive mentoring through topical discussions
  3. Social networking including employees and their spouse or partner
  4. Cultural grounding with chambers of commerce, professional associations, cultural events and institutions, multicultural website
